Mr Munson's Itvice On Decision Making Book Cover

"Some students are bullied; some students are bystanders; some students bully, and all can use some strategies to address this hurtful behavior. When students learn the steps in making intelligent decisions, they often feel empowered when presented with a problem."

They need to feel they belong in the family, in the neighborhood and in the school community.

One of the important ways to develop that sense of belonging is through friendships. However, many children struggle to make and keep friends.

Mr. Munson’s Itvice is a lesson on friendship in which a first grade student sweetly mishears the word ‘advice’ as ‘ITVICE’ but knows exactly who, in her school, can help with a friendship problem.

Mr. Munson’s Itvice on Bulling introduces a fourth grade student who is being bullied. He seeks help from Mr. Munson and learns some good ‘ITVICE’ on addressing the bullying.

Mr. Munson's Itvice on Decision Making When a good friend asks for a huge favor, fifth grader, Serafina, learns the importance of making smart decisions.

Belong. Children need that sense of belonging...

"This children's book by Nancy Nolan is a great reminder and lesson for children of all ages about the importance of respect, consideration for others and kindness. It applies concrete lessons for students on how to deal with bullies as well as thought questions that may just get bullies to think twice about their behavior. It should be required reading in every classroom.  Today's child needs help in dealing with bullying and its effects not only on the one who is bullied, but on the class and the bully him- or herself. They will find a clear and well written lesson in this book."

“Mr. Munson is at it again! In this latest addition to the series the fun and helpful Pickle Pond school counselor has some great advice for helping kids make good decisions. My grandkids have loved the earlier “Itvice” books, and this one is a great addition. It belongs on the top of the kids reading pile.”
